Healthy Living 3 Lies You Tell Yourself That Keep You From Living The Healthy Life You Dream Of

We all live 2 lives, we have the life we actually live and the life we dream of living. Whats standing in your way are little lies or resistance. Resistance to change causes us to lie to ourselves all the time. Our mind considers these healthy lies and it makes us feel better about not being the person we dream of being.
Here are 3 “healthy” lies you must stop telling yourself for they are keeping you from the healthy life full of happiness you dream of.

Lie # 1: I cant live a healthy life because of my genetics

Think to yourself for a minuteis that really true?

Why do we give ourselves this free pass? We tell ourselves things like “well, my whole family is overweight”, “well, my mother or father had cancer”, “well, Im destined to be this way” This is our resistance talking and keeping you from the healthy life you deserve. Its a bunch of baloney. Did you know that by the time you reach 50, your lifestyle, including your diet, determines 80% of how you age! The remaining 20% is inherited through genetics.

Truth: Genetics do not determine your health or quality of life, it is your choices.

Lie #2: I cant live a healthy life because I have no control when it comes to food

Think to yourself for a minuteis this really true?

You absolutely have control over what you put into your body. Your inner resistance is making you believe this crazy thought. Be careful, sometimes you cannot trust what you think, because its simply not true.

Truth: You have a choice. I used to eat whatever I wanted and it was all food that did nothing to nourish my body. It took being diagnosed with an auto immune disorder that made me stop and think about what I was doing to myself. I made a choice to give my body the nutrients I need every day because of what I want out of life. I want to not just watch my children grow, but be actively involved. Show them how to run and get the winning goal, show them the view from the top of the mountain, dance at their weddings, and play vigorously with my future grandchildren.

Lie #3: I cant live a healthy life because its too late, the damage has been done

Think to yourself for a minuteis this really true?

Is it possible that after years of neglecting your body, that you could live the healthful life you were meant to live?

Its never too late! Our human body has the incredible ability to heal itself given the right nutrients. The dietary and lifestyle choices you make everyday help to shape the underlying causes of most diseases and illnesses.

You control your health destiny, you! Nobody else can. Its your personal responsibility to take care of yourself. Stop telling yourself these little health lies!

Auto Racing, It’s Not Just a Sport

For decades, we have heard people debating whether racing is a sport or not. Like most involved in the racing industry, I have stood strong behind my reasons why racing is a sport. After all, Webster’s Dictionary defines a sport as “any activity in which athletes compete against one another.” However, in the face of tragedy, I must go back and adjust my stance. Racing isn’t just a sport, it’s more than that. It’s family, it’s friends, it’s… Life.

Racing is one of the few sports where week in and week out you have the honor, or not so much, of competing against the same group of people. Grassroots or at the professional level you get to know, respect, and befriend your competitors… until the helmet gets pulled on. The brotherhood this creates shows in face of tragedy as with the recent loss of Jason Leffler. Every racer understands the risks associated with racing. They have accepted that risk and chosen to continue racing, not for the money, because this is what they love… it’s what they live for.

Chances are you will never catch Tiger Woods at your local golf course playing in a scramble, just because he wanted to hit some balls. You won’t get dunked on by Blake Griffin in a 5 on 5 pick-up game at the rec center. Racers are a different athlete. On any given weekend, you never know when you might walk through the gates of your local short track and see some of NASCAR’s finest trading paint with the locals… just because.

When tragedy strikes the racing community, everyone associated feels it. It doesn’t matter if you race dirt, asphalt, as a hobby, or as a professional it is felt by all. In racing nothing is for certain, except that eventually you will wreck. Some more than others, some harder than others but if you do it long enough, it will happen. Racers cheat death more often than not, but when she rears her ugly head we all stop to mourn. We take some time to pray for the family, hug our kids, and slap a Rest In Peace sticker on the B post. Then we all climb back into the car and tell ourselves, it can’t happen to me.

It’s not the money fueling these drivers to get back behind the wheel. Some spend every last dime just to make it to the track, not for the prize money, but for the chance to get their picture with that black and white checkered flag. The Holy Grail racers spend their life chasing. They’re fueled by the excitement, the adrenaline, the friendships, and because… it’s their life! The next time someone tells me that racing isn’t a sport, I’ll tip my racing cap and politely state, ” You’re right… it’s bigger than that.”

MySpace users threaten to sue after years of blogs deleted

MySpace has been accused of deleting years worth of users’ personal blogs and histories after the site underwent a $20 million relaunch last month.

The move was a bid to shed the site’s outdated image and attract a new teenage fanbase, after millions of users migrated to Facebook as their primary social networking site in the late 2000s.

Purchased by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation in 2005 for $580m, a decision Murdoch has since called a “huge mistake”, MySpace’s focus on music and entertainment over social interaction has been credited as one of the reasons behind its decline.

At its peak, the site boasted 125m users and more webpage visits than Google. It now has around 25m users.

In 2011 Specific Media Group and pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake jointly purchased the company for $35m, and have since attempted to rebrand the site for the teenage generation through campaigns with rapper Pharrell.

This sleek new makeover has resulted in the deletion of blogs, videos, private messages, posts and comments without prior warning, much to the fury of its remaining loyal users.

Distraught fans created a thread entitled ‘I want my blogs and classic myspace back’ to vent their frustration at the move one user called “crass arrogance”.

They continued: “You have stolen 6 years of blogs and something that is priceless to me and cannot be replaced.”

Another lamented the deletion of her blogs, writing: “Openly and freely I shared intimate moments that can not be relived or retold for they where experienced. I would revisit myspace religiously because of my blogs… Myspace did an ultimate back stab.” [sic]

MySpace responded to concerns with the soothing message that the information had not been lost forever.

It said: “Change isn’t easy and there has been a lot going on lately. We understand that this information is very important to you. Please understand that your blogs have not been deleted. Your content is safe and we have been discussing the best ways possible to provide you your blogs.”

Internet users in Indonesia continues to increase. As of the end of 2012, Indonesia, which has a population of 237.5 million people has 63 million Internet users.

When compared to the condition two years ago, seen a significant surge in Internet traffic in IIX (Indonesia Internet eXchange). March 2013, the average traffic reached 10 Gigabit per second, or 4x the condition in 2010.

“As a result, our routing infrastructure that already exists is approaching maximum capacity, while Internet traffic growth shows no signs of slowing down,” said Private Harijanto (Chairman IIX).

“The main problem is about 60 percent of Indonesia’s population using mobile phones, but are accessing the Internet from the handset is still fairly small,” said Harijanto. “Obviously, this trend will change quickly. 3G infrastructure development nationwide 4G/LTE technology is almost completed and will be implemented next year. ”

Anticipating the explosion of bandwidth requirements up to 10x in the next five years, the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII) is now using the series routers Brocade MLXe-16 is able to support 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) as the main component IIX. APJII also plans to apply the technology Brocade Multi-Chassis Trunking (MCT). This technology will connect the two routers on top to create a single tool that is able to generalize the traffic load on network-network service provider that has a lot of connections to the center of the Indonesian Internet Exchange.

Bored of Board Room Meetings Try the Power of Walking Meetings

Walking meetings. The idea sounds absurd but you will be surprised to know that walking meetings are more productive than boardroom meetings. Steve Jobs and Sigmund Freud, Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey also believe in the power of walking meetings.

Just a few months before the death of Steve Jobs, both Jobs e and Zuckerberg were reportedly taking a walk together to discuss a joint venture between the two companies to have a -music social networking- service and a recommendation engine for iTunes.

If walking meetings work for business tycoons, then they will probably work for the others too. Studies reveal that most employees feel the time they spend in meetings is a total waste and hardly brings any productivity.

In addition, if we look at the statistic of inactivity in today’s world for an average employee, it is startling. Most of us spend more than nine hours a day sitting and nearly eight hours sleeping. Sitting has become so incredibly prevalent in today’s time that we do not even think about it.

This sedentary lifestyle has become a reality of today’s time. Sitting hour after hour is bad for efficiency, which decreases with bad health conditions.

Instead of meeting in conference rooms, if meetings can be held outside, while taking a walk, then the entire work culture can change. Employees will be more enthusiastic, energetic and full of fresh ideas perhaps. Five Benefits of Walking Meetings

Energizes people and makes them more alert, inspiring new ideas. Helps burn calories, stimulates oxygen flow and increases ability to solve problems faster.

Improves confidence and allows for work without interruptions. Saves office resources, keeping fewer machines running. Sets people at ease and enhances positive work spirit.

However, not all meetings can be walking meetings. Usually one to one meetings or meetings with not more than five people can be walking meetings. Also, for walking meetings, everything needs to be organized beforehand. The participants should be informed about the meeting in advance so that they may prepare themselves with comfortable clothes and shoes. Weather conditions, employee fitness and meeting time are also some of the considerations that should be taken care of.

All The Indian States Should Provide Kids Education Free Of Cost

Right to education is one of the basic rights that are given to all the citizens of the country. After independence, many efforts have been made by the Government of the country to educate the people. At the time of independence, the literacy rate of the country was very low of around five to ten percent. The government has taken many steps and recommended many reforms. For spreading education and making it easily accessible to the masses, the Government opened many schools across the country for spreading education. Free education was provided at these schools.

The main aim was to ensure that the people should come to this school and get educated. At that time, the Indian government had asked many big industrial firms and rich people to open schools in order to help them educate people. Many schools were opened by these people to educate the common mass. After the combined efforts by the Government and the nonprofit organizations, the literacy rate in India has increased.

At the end of British rule in 1947, the literacy rate in India was 12% and the present literacy rate in India is 74.04%. India has achieved a lot of success as far as increasing the literacy rate is concerned. But the country has to go a long way as far as achieving the literacy rate is concerned. In various states in India, there is a lot of disparity in the literacy rate. The Government has to take many steps to remove the disparity in terms of education in between various states of the country. Making education is one of few steps that will help in increasing the literacy rate in the country.

One step the Government is taking is that it is opening nursery schools across the country to provide elementary education to the small children. The public schools earlier provided free of cost education to the students. But later a nominal amount was charged. The disparity in literacy rates in various states has to be looked into. The government should also provide the people with public directory India where they look for schools where their children can study. All the facilities and contact information for the schools must be mentioned in the directory. This directory must be available for both offline and online so that the students can access the same from anywhere and anytime.
